Responsibilities:
- Design and Engineering
- Lead the design and engineering of complex piping systems, including the preparation of P&IDs, isometric drawings, and piping layouts
- Perform stress analysis and flexibility analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., CAESAR II)
- Project Management
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless project execution
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to piping systems, including material failures, leaks, and vibration problems
- Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure all piping designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI)
- Conduct design reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Mentor and train junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, technical standards, and project execution
- Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design calculations, specifications, and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in piping engineering, with a focus on the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy sectors
- Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS) and stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II)
- Proven experience in Project engineering of Concept, FEED, Detail Design and EPC Project
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API 570)
- Experience with both onshore and offshore projects
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and BIM software
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and installation practices
