Responsibilities:
  • Design and Engineering
  • Lead the design and engineering of complex piping systems, including the preparation of P&IDs, isometric drawings, and piping layouts
  • Perform stress analysis and flexibility analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., CAESAR II)
  • Project Management
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting
  • Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of projects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to piping systems, including material failures, leaks, and vibration problems
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Ensure all piping designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI)
  • Conduct design reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, technical standards, and project execution
  • Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design calculations, specifications, and reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in piping engineering, with a focus on the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy sectors
  • Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS) and stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II)
  • Proven experience in Project engineering of Concept, FEED, Detail Design and EPC Project
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API 570)
  • Experience with both onshore and offshore projects
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling and BIM software
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and installation practices
