Responsibilities
- Design and Development
- System Optimization
- Compliance and Safety
- Project Management
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including geologists, metallurgists, mining and project manager, to integrate design requirements with operational needs
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications
- Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements
- Research and draft blueprints, engineering plans, and graphics
- Develop test prototypes where applicable
- Identify solutions to improve production efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Structural Civil tertiary qualification
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role
- Any further tertiary education will an added advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Accurate and strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office and popular design software (CAD/other)
- Knowledgeable in Mining law and regulations applicable to design / construction / operation and maintenance
- Knowledgeable of Risk management
